Tradespeople: We collect information you provide when registering, including your name, email address, phone number, postcode, trade type, and business details. We also collect usage data such as when you go online, jobs you view, and quotes you send.
Homeowners / Customers: When you post a job via our ‘Post a Job’ form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, postcode, trade type required, job description, urgency, and budget range. We also generate and store a unique access code linked to your job for the purpose of allowing you to track your job and view quotes without creating an account.
We use your information to operate the Buildrr platform — matching tradespeople with relevant jobs, enabling homeowners to receive and respond to quotes, sending real-time job alerts, managing subscriptions, and improving our service. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.
Tradespeople: When you send a quote on a job, your name is visible to the homeowner on their job tracking page. Your full contact details are available to Pro members and displayed in the admin portal for Buildrr staff.
Homeowners: Your name, contact details, and job description are shared with registered Buildrr tradespeople who may quote your job. We use Supabase for database storage and Netlify for hosting. We do not sell your personal data to third parties under any circumstances.
When a homeowner posts a job, a unique 8-character access code is generated and stored alongside their job record. This code is provided to the homeowner (via the confirmation page and their confirmation email) and allows them to access their job tracking page at buildrr.uk/track without an account.
The tracking page shows the homeowner their job details and any quotes received, including the tradesperson's name and quote amount. Homeowners can accept or decline quotes directly from this page. The access code acts as the sole authentication mechanism for this feature — it should be treated as confidential.
We do not share access codes with third parties. Access codes are stored securely in our database and are associated only with the relevant job record.
When a tradesperson goes online, we geocode their postcode to show relevant nearby jobs. The approximate location (derived from postcode) is stored in the trade profile to improve job matching. If GPS permission is granted in the app, device location is used only for the current session and is not stored permanently. Location can be updated or removed from the profile at any time.
Homeowner postcodes submitted via the job posting form are geocoded and stored to enable location-based job matching for tradespeople.
BuildrrAI is a suite of document tools (RAMS, Programme of Works, Schedule of Works, Invoice Generator, Trade Knowledge Search) built into the Buildrr portal.
All BuildrrAI tools run entirely in your browser. The text you enter — project descriptions, hazard details, invoice information, client names — is processed locally on your device and is never transmitted to Buildrr servers or any third-party AI service. No document content is stored by us.
Invoice numbers are stored in your browser's local storage only and are never synced to our servers.
If you enable push notifications, we store a push subscription token in our database linked to your account. This token allows us to send you job alerts. We do not share push tokens with third parties. You can disable notifications at any time from your profile settings.
Tradesperson account data is retained for as long as the account is active. If you cancel your account, your personal data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Homeowner job data (including contact details and access codes) is retained for the purpose of facilitating job quotes. Jobs that are no longer active are marked inactive and hidden from the platform but may be retained in our database for up to 90 days before permanent deletion.
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, or erase your personal data, restrict or object to processing, and data portability. Homeowners wishing to have their job data and contact details removed should email us with their job access code or the email address used when submitting their job. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at buildrr.uk@gmail.com.
We use essential cookies for authentication only. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
We implement industry-standard security measures including HTTPS-only access, HTTP security headers (HSTS, X-Frame-Options, Content-Security-Policy), rate limiting on all API endpoints, and Supabase Row Level Security policies to ensure users can only access their own data. Public job tracking endpoints validate access codes server-side before returning any data.
